You've Got Mail: A Postcard Picspam

It's no secret that I love receiving mail, postcards in particular. There is just something about it that makes me happy to no end. Maybe it's the fact that there is something in my mailbox once in a while other than bills. So, in my endless endeavor to explore the world vicariously through postcards, I joined postcrossing.com. These are just a few of my favorite cards. If I were to picspam all of my favorites, I would be here all weekend.

Aw, they are all awesome! I also have a big collection of postcards, sent to me by friends from their vacations.

And I just was about to offer to send one from my homecity, when I see "Elbflorenz". So you have one of Dresden already. Awesome! I really love my home-city, we have lots of historical buildings and cultural stuff, museums, castles... and lots of tourists every year.

If you like to see more, I once made a picture story with the Doctor visiting me, you can see it here: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/39239.html

(I use the Arrow icon, as this is a real statue over here, and it's even green!)

I have been collecting postcards all of my life, from relatives and vacations and such, but I really got serious with it when I joined Postcrossing. I've been doing it since 2008 and now I have albums and boxes filled to bursting with cards. :) I don't think anyone can ever have too many postcards! It is the second best way to see the world without actually getting on a plane.
